Seattle Iranian Festival • Sat.6/28

There are many great things happening at this year’s festival. And it’s FREE!
One of my friends/students, Nancy Penrose, will be giving a short talk about her recent trip to Iran. This happens at 1:40pm. If you can’t make it you should at least check out this article http://uwnews.org/uweek/uweekarticle.asp?articleID=42111 and also her photo gallery.
I also recommend seeing Delshodeh Dance Ensemble if you have a chance. They will be performing various dances of the Iranian world – Persian dances set to classical Persian music, classical Tajik dances, folkloric Tajik dances from the regions of Kulob and Badakhshan, and an Afghani dance. They are on around 3:10 to 3:40.
I will be performing at 5:30pm as a part of Helene Eriksen’s Traditional Dance Theater.
